We will share lots of practice and discussion along the Fools journey. This session is all about that journey, told by different decks. We'll lay several out side by side and see who tells the story best. Is the Rider-Waite-Smith Fool the same cheerful wanderer in a Marseille? What about the Light Seers? Does a modern deck make him wiser, weirder, or more anxious? Where do the decks agree, and where do they start a fight? Join us as we take our own journey through the tarot and discuss what we see, feel and know.
Picture this: A person with a tiny bag, a small dog, and absolutely no plan strolls toward the edge of a cliff. Is it brave? Is it reckless? Is the dog trying to tell them something? Welcome to card 0, where every tarot story begins. It’s the moment right before conception! From there, the Fool wanders through the Major Arcana. He gets talked at by the Magician, side-eyed by the High Priestess, tempted by the Lovers, humbled by Death, flattened by the Tower, and finally patted on the head by the Star. Eventually he reaches the World, where he's gathered enough scars and stories to dance a little. Then, if we're honest, he probably steps off another cliff.
