The Journey Towards Wholeness: Self-Reflection, Identity and Transformation — and what does Tarot have to do with it?

This workshop explores mental health not as a path toward perfection, but as a journey toward understanding and integration. It focuses on how people can recognise, accept, and work with different "parts" of themselves to build greater self-awareness and emotional balance.
It examines how isolation and disconnection affect both self-understanding and relationships, and how rebuilding inner connection can improve how we relate to others.
Using frameworks such as parts work, narrative approaches, and Tarot symbology (particularly the Major Arcana as archetypal mirrors), the presentation offers reflective tools for exploring identity, meaning, and personal transformation.
Overall, it guides participants through the idea that wholeness comes from integrating the many aspects of the self into a more compassionate and coherent inner relationship.

Understanding the Depth of The Court Cards

The Tarot deck contains 16 court cards with each of the four suits of the Minor Arcana containing a King, Queen, knight, and Page.
These court cards are often among the most challenging to understand for those learning the Tarot. In comparison to the other cards in the deck they contain relatively simple imagery with each card containing a solitary character.
This talk will outline the court cards, the four court positions and look at the 16 characters in these cards individually. Ultimately we gain a deeper insight into who these Person’s represent along with which traits or energy is being expressed in a spread.

The true architecture of the Rider-Waite tarot tells a remarkable story. In this talk, I argue that the deck is a deliberately constructed symbolic map of initiation and the path to enlightenment, drawing on Kabbalah, Western esotericism, and the mystery tradition which both Arthur Edward Waite and Pamela Coleman Smith were part of. Through the symbolism of both the Major and Minor Arcana, we trace a complete initiatory journey — from the Fool's first step to the final integration of the self. The four suits of the Minor Arcana evoke the four initiatory paths of a secret Mystery tradition, each element a distinct mode of transformation available to the aspirant.
